Meet the Board
Through collaboration with Sarah I have been inspired by her energy and innovation in spaces that others often fear to go to, especially in creating greater opportunity and equity for women. I came to know the Inclusive Work Program as a mentor, and I am now delighted to join the GOGO board! I bring with me expertise from my current role with the Department for Environment and Water SA and board roles across multiple sectors, and a passion for making a difference in creative and impactful ways.
Deputy Chair Person
I am a graphic designer, creative content producer, ideas woman and digital specialist. After several years of exploring the world I have returned to Adelaide to use my skills and passion with the GOGO Foundation and Breakthrough Mental Health Research Foundation. I want to make the world a better place through art and design, sprinkling creative flair on everything I work on with clean, concise and effective designs.
I have been so lucky to have worked as a teacher, a cook, a project officer, a TV producer, a community support worker and a PR consultant. At the core of each of these roles is my love of people and the world. I have known Sarah for 35 years and have worked closely with her for the last three so when she invited me to join The GOGO Foundation Board, I jumped at the chance to be involved with a passionate and innovative change-maker like her.
Andrea is experienced across a number of industry sectors; Travel, consumer goods and services, Government, and Category Disruptors. Commercially savvy and highly results-orientated, Andrea responds to ever changing landscapes and thrives on tough challenges, solving complex problems and translating vision and strategies into profitability and growth. She is passionate about building and fostering strong business relationships and authentically engaging with all stakeholders. She doesn't mind rolling up her sleeves to get involved in the detail and inner workings of business as well as looking at the ‘bigger picture’ to create vision, infuse new ideas and champion the development and implementation of social impact and innovative solutions, leading and empowering others to also think outside of the square.
Born and raised in Brazil in a family with strong Japanese traditions, I've always shown interest in cultural diversity. I have worked for several years with positive impact projects, navigating the world of social enterprise, management of nonprofit organizations, as well as facilitating networks focused on sustainable tourism and associative production, income generation, entrepreneurship, and women empowerment. Collaboration and co-creation all inform parts of who I am.
