The Inclusive Work Program is a 9 week course that supports women and non-binary people with complex barriers to employment into safe, sustainable employment.
The course is held each school term and during school hours so that it is accessible to all mothers and carers. We are together on Tuesdays. Wednesday and Fridays in a small group of 8-10. We have been operating since mid 2021 and to date (April 2024) we have supported nearly 68 women into our program. 6 months after completing the course, 80% of our graduates are either working in a job that they love, or studying, and others we continue to support on their journey. We would love you to join us.
During the carefully curated 9-week course we will support you to...
Build your wellbeing and your wellbeing ‘toolbox’ to keep you emotionally well and stable.
Understand your values, strengths, abilities and the gifts you have to share with the world.
Build a deep understanding of the modern workplace and learn the skills to ensure you will be a successful and valued member of any workplace.
Understand the value of a diverse and inclusive society so you know where you fit and how your lived experience can be your strength and inspire others.
Build a clear vision of your future and have all the steps in place to make that a reality.
Build your community to include friends, mentors, professionals and communities so you have a new sense of belonging and social connectedness.
Secure safe, sustainable, suitable and fulfilling employment that is the perfect fit for you and meets all your needs.
While you are with us we will also support you with advocacy to remove barriers such as physical health issues, dental care, nursing care, social work support, seeking legal support or supporting you through legal issues, police issues, debt recovery, advocating to government agencies, housing, NDIS for you and your children, and therapy for trauma recovery. There is also the option for you to complete a Certificate 2 in Community Services during the program.
